“Music Escape”, a rhythm-combat game with ninjas, cyberpunk weapons and suicidal exploding robots, has launched a contest to find the top VR Ninjas worldwide. “Music Escape” is 2049VR’s second title and is currently available on Steam.
“Music Escape” combines the both combat and rhythm genres to create a unique VR experience. Players have several ninja weapons at their disposal, such as katanas, claws, nunchucks and a ninja star shooter, all with cyberpunk enhancements.
“We are looking for the best rhythm ninjas in the world,” says Michael Lewis, CEO of 2049VR and a former GM of Vive X. “This game has everything you could want in a VR game – ragdoll physics, melee combat, gunplay, stylized visuals and a completely customizable soundtrack.”
Lewis founded 2049VR to create compelling content for the burgeoning VR industry. “With this contest, we wanted to separate the rhythm ninjas from the couch ninjas,” he said. First place will receive an Oculus Quest, including the upcoming Quest version of “Music Escape”.
“Music Escape” is available for download for all major PCVR platforms, including the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Quest (via Link), Valve Index and Windows Mixed Reality, exclusively on Steam.
2049VR is currently developing online social features for “Music Escape,” which will be released cross-platform on PSVR and Oculus Quest in the second half of 2020.
