Cradle of Sins VR Tournament Slated for December

U24 Solutions announced that it will host a VR tournament for its upcoming Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) game “Cradle of Sins.” The esports tournament is called The Alpha Cup with a total prize pool of $10,000, which includes prizes for the top 40 players. The Alpha Cup is scheduled to run between Dec. 12-27 and a grand finale will be held between the top six players in January 2020.

“Cradle of Sins” is a MOBA strategy focused game that pits two teams of three players against each other, each defending a separate area of the map. Each player controls a hero with their own unique weapons, abilities and upgrades.

“Cradle of Sins” aims to be the competitive MOBA title that the virtual reality eSports scene is still missing. “We decided to host a tournament already in the Alpha phase as the experience would be invaluable for helping us organize bigger tournaments in the future,” explained Steve Parker, the co-founder of U24 Solutions. “We’re also using this as an opportunity to thank our fans who’ve helped us shape the game into what it is today.”

The total prize pool for The Alpha Cup is $10,000 with awards for the first 40 players on the leaderboard.

  • 1st – 6th place: Compete for a total prize pool of $5000 in January
  • 7th place: $500
  • 8th place: $450
  • 9th place: $400
  • 10th place: $350
  • 11th place: $300
  • 12th place: $250
  • 13th place: $200
  • 14th place: $150
  • 15th-30th place: $100
  • 31th-40th place: $50

During The Alpha Cup, players will have the option to participate in the tournament at any time. Once they’ve agreed with the terms and confirmed their participation, their next 10 competitive games will count toward their final point score on the leaderboard. A competitive match is considered a 3v3 match. Points will be handed out to each player individually based on their performance during the match.
